Sudan Egypts Foreign Ministers

Khartoum-Cairo (Nabaa Sudan) – Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs ‎and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem, and ‎his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel-Aatty, reaffirmed during a phone ‎call on Monday the depth of Sudanese-Egyptian relations and the ‎historic ties between the two peoples. They also stressed the ‎importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations across ‎various fields.‎

The two ministers underscored the need for continued consultation ‎and coordination on issues of mutual interest, while respecting the ‎sovereignty of both countries and the unity and territorial integrity of ‎their lands and borders. Their discussions came in light of the ‎outcomes of the recent meeting in El-Alamein between President of ‎the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel-Fattah Al-‎Burhan and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.‎

The two ministers also discussed mechanisms for implementing the ‎outcomes of the four-way consultative summit that brought together ‎the leaders of Sudan, Egypt, Eritrea, and Somalia.‎
