Khartoum (Nabaa Sudan) – Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Malik Agar received a briefing on the activities and projects being implemented by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Sudan.
During his meeting with Lorenzo Caravani, the ICRC’s Head of Delegation in Sudan, Agar was briefed on activities related to healthcare, training and contributions to the provision of drinking water.
Agar affirmed the government’s support for the ICRC’s activities in Sudan, stressing the importance of keeping political agendas at a distance and focusing on serving Sudanese communities without external interference. He noted that this had long been the delegation’s approach.
For his part, Caravani expressed his appreciation for the support and facilitation provided by the Sudanese government and the relevant authorities to the ICRC delegation.
