Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris held a bilateral summit with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz in Ankara, focusing on strengthening economic and investment relations and supporting Sudan’s reconstruction and development efforts.
The Turkish side reaffirmed its support for Sudan’s unity and sovereignty, as well as continued humanitarian and service assistance through Turkish institutions operating in Sudan, alongside backing efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability.
The talks featured extensive discussions on cooperation opportunities in agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure, ports, and transport, in addition to several major strategic projects, including the “Zadi (1)” project and the Gezira, Rahad, and Hawad agricultural schemes.
The two sides also agreed to activate joint follow-up mechanisms and develop a roadmap for priority projects, while enhancing cooperation in oil, electricity, renewable energy, digital transformation, and facilitating the movement of investments and businesspeople between the two countries.
