Sudan’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Omar Issa Ahmed, met on Thursday with Jin Xin, Deputy Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, at the department’s headquarters in Beijing, as part of efforts to strengthen and advance strategic relations between Sudan and China.
During the meeting, both sides affirmed the depth and strength of Sudanese–Chinese relations and the importance of continuing joint efforts. They reiterated the leaderships’ commitment in both countries to elevating bilateral ties to broader horizons serving the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples.
The Ambassador reaffirmed Sudan’s full support for China on its core issues, foremost among them the One China principle, expressing appreciation for China’s supportive positions toward Sudan in regional and international forums.
He reviewed recent developments in Sudan and efforts to restore security, stability, development, and state institutions to normal functioning, noting the government’s return to Khartoum and the continued return of citizens to their homes and communities.
He also stressed Sudan’s commitment to strengthening partnership with China in the coming phase, particularly in investment and reconstruction, and underscored the importance of Chinese companies and institutions contributing to rebuilding war-affected infrastructure and leveraging successful bilateral cooperation experiences.
For his part, Jin Xin reaffirmed China’s continued support for Sudan in all circumstances and its appreciation for Sudan’s consistent positions on Chinese issues. He expressed China’s readiness to work with Sudan to implement leadership-level understandings and enhance cooperation across economic, trade, and development sectors.
He further stressed China’s keenness to actively participate in Sudan’s reconstruction efforts and support its path toward peace, stability, and development.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and agreed on the importance of continued coordination and consultation to promote stability and development and serve the interests of both countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties expressed their aspiration to further strengthen the Sudanese–Chinese strategic partnership in line with the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
