Prime Minister Meets Swiss K&B Company Delegation

Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) — Prime Minister Prof. Kamil Idris ‎commended the level of partnership between the Central Bank of ‎Sudan, Sudan Currency Printing Press and Swiss company K&B.‎

He made the remarks during a meeting in Khartoum on Tuesday with a ‎delegation from K&B, headed by Stephen Baumann, in the presence of ‎Central Bank of Sudan Governor Amna Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom, ‎Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Ali Mohamed Ali, and ‎Director General of Sudan Currency Printing Press Eng. Mohamed ‎Abdel-Rahman Mukhtar.‎

In a press statement, the Director General of Sudan Currency Printing ‎Press said the meeting discussed ongoing preparations by the ‎company to resume operations from its headquarters in Khartoum ‎after a suspension of more than three years, during which it operated ‎from alternative sites in three states: River Nile, Northern and Red Sea.‎

He said the meeting also addressed the strategic relationship between ‎Sudan Currency Printing Press and K&B, which has spanned more than ‎three decades.‎

Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Mukhtar noted that K&B is one of the ‎world’s largest companies specializing in the manufacture of currency-‎printing machines and systems, with a market share exceeding 85 ‎percent of the global market.‎
