Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has directed the establishment of 20 new technical and industrial schools to expand vocational and technical education across all states of the country, reaffirming the Hope Government’s commitment to this vital sector as a pillar for reconstruction and development.

The directive was issued during an unannounced visit to Omdurman Industrial Secondary School, accompanied by Minister of Education Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zein Hajar and Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Ali Mohamed Ali. The Prime Minister praised the school’s historic role, describing it as the oldest industrial school in Sudan and on the African continent.

Dr. Idris also underscored support for persons with disabilities, stressing the importance of developing their capacities, and urged students to demonstrate diligence and perseverance in their studies.

For his part, the Minister of Education affirmed that the ministry would advance technical education by integrating e-learning and artificial intelligence technologies, in line with modern educational approaches.
