Satellite imagery has documented significant upgrades at the base of the Subul al-Salam Battalion in Kufra, Libya. These include the construction of logistical facilities and the development of an internal apron likely intended for use as a helicopter landing pad, in addition to completed furnishings and equipment at command centers and residential units, full perimeter fencing, and the creation of an internal garden.
The images also show the presence of multiple containers and dozens of pickup vehicles commonly used by RSF forces.
Located in the Libyan desert city of Kufra, the base has emerged as one of the principal supply points supporting RSF operations in Sudan.
These developments coincide with RSF efforts to reconfigure its supply routes, shifting toward new corridors originating from Kufra and away from the Egyptian border, including one that extends directly toward the Chadian frontier.
