Minister of Industry and Trade, Mahasin Ali Yagoub, met with Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, to strengthen coordination between the two ministries.

The ministers discussed enhancing animal value chains, curbing cattle smuggling, and reducing meat and dairy prices for low-income groups. They also explored using animal by-products for biogas and electricity, and advancing veterinary drug manufacturing, including new and rehabilitated factories.

Both parties agreed to continue joint planning, share expertise, and implement programmes to maximize Sudan’s resources and promote economic growth.

Minister Al-Mansouri emphasized Sudan’s strategic advantage in supplying fresh animal products to Arab markets and called for coordinated participation in regional and international exhibitions to promote Sudanese products.
