Attorney General Intisar Ahmed Abdel Aal affirmed that the Public Prosecution is fully committed to delivering prompt justice, pursuing all those who have committed crimes against the nation, and safeguarding public and private rights and freedoms, in coordination with all judicial and legal bodies.
She stated that the return of the Public Prosecution’s leadership and full staff to Khartoum reflects the resumption of administrative work and the reinforcement of the rule of law. She stressed that the move sends a clear message to the international community that Sudan is recovering and that the people’s resolve to build a state founded on justice and institutions is stronger than the impediments it has faced.
Her remarks came during the inauguration of the permanent headquarters of the Public Prosecution in Khartoum and the premises of the National Committee for the Investigation of Crimes and Violations of National and International Humanitarian Law, attended by Khartoum State Wali Ahmed Othman Hamza, First Assistant Attorney General Kamal Mahjoub Ahmed Hussein, and a number of senior prosecution officials.
For his part, Khartoum State Wali Ahmed Othman Hamza praised the Public Prosecution’s pivotal role during the war period and affirmed the state government’s full support to facilitate its duties and ensure the effective administration of justice.
