Moscow (Nabaa Sudan) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has called for support for a political process leading to an exclusively Sudanese dialogue, describing it as an entry point for addressing the crisis and ending the war in Sudan. He stressed the need to unify efforts to achieve this goal.
Speaking during his address at the third Russia-Africa Summit in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Friday, el-Sisi said Egypt categorically rejects any attempts to undermine Sudan’s unity or compromise its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions.
He stressed that a political solution should be based on dialogue conducted exclusively by Sudanese, alongside efforts aimed at ending the war. He reiterated his country’s position opposing interference in the internal affairs of states or violations of their sovereignty.
El-Sisi affirmed that Africa’s security and stability are essential conditions for fulfilling the aspirations of its peoples. He also expressed Egypt’s concern over escalating tensions in the Horn of Africa and its rejection of any moves that could exploit the fragility of regional conditions to militarize the Red Sea.
