Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Ismat Gurashi said Sudan “will not go hungry,” noting that financing for this year’s summer agricultural season has increased to nearly SDG 600 billion, compared with SDG 17 billion last season.
During a visit to Kassala State, he said Sudan possesses the resources and capabilities needed to achieve food security. He added that the next phase would place greater emphasis on crop value chains, linking financing to production, post-harvest processing and marketing stages, according to the ministry.
