President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed that the Armed Forces are proceeding with efforts to complete the cleansing of the country of the rebellion of the “terrorist Al-Dagalo militia,” stressing the rejection of any incomplete peace that would return the militia and its supporters to power.

Al-Burhan announced the commencement of efforts to involve national and sectoral forces supporting the state in completing the institutions of government and forming the Legislative Council.

He also disclosed the provision of a comprehensive package of legal, political and security guarantees—including the suspension of criminal proceedings and permanent immunity for freedom of opinion and expression—to support an independent national initiative leading an exclusively Sudanese dialogue originating from within the country, without state intervention in its agenda or outcomes.
