The Dar Hamar Emergency Room said that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia committed a massacre in Al-Obeid, North Kordofan State, on Wednesday evening, by targeting civilians with drones, resulting in the killing of 10 people and injuring others with critical wounds.

The group added that the militia resumed shelling while bodies were being transported from the morgue to the cemetery in what it described as a treacherous incident, leading to additional casualties.

It further noted that the bombardment continued on Thursday morning, when a house in the Airport neighborhood was struck by a drone, killing two people inside the home.

According to local sources, 11 people were killed at dawn in a separate drone strike that targeted a residential house in the Employees’ neighborhood in Al-Obeid, including three members of one family and a pregnant woman, in addition to several wounded who have not yet been fully accounted for.

The Emergency Room confirmed that the overall death toll has reached 12, stating that targeting homes and funeral processions represents an unprecedented moral and religious violation and a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law.
