North Kordofan Wali Abdel Khaliq Abdel Latif met with a delegation from the State Council of Churches, led by Bishop Ismail Abu Diqin, in the presence of Acting Minister of Education Waleed Mohamed Hassan.

During the meeting, the Wali affirmed the state government's commitment to addressing the issues raised by the delegation, particularly those concerning Christian religious education teachers. He stressed the government's determination to resolve relevant matters in a manner that promotes coexistence and cooperation among all components of society.

For his part, Bishop Ismail Abu Diqin expressed his appreciation to the state government and the wali for their attention and positive response to the issues discussed during the meeting. He noted that the wali had pledged his support for the matters raised.

The bishop also reaffirmed the State Council of Churches' support for the state government, emphasizing that the church would remain a partner in community initiatives and would continue its presence in North Kordofan. He added that the church would persist in its mission of praying for peace and stability throughout North Kordofan and Sudan as a whole.
