The Security and Defence Council held its meeting on Tuesday evening, chaired by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan. The council reviewed the country’s security and political situation.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohieddin Salim, read out the statement issued by the council, which affirmed support for the Armed Forces and allied forces on the battlefronts, and extended congratulations on the achieved victories.

The council noted that the atrocities committed—and still being committed—in El-Fashir and other areas will not go unpunished, reaffirming its commitment to protecting civilians and preserving Sudan’s territorial unity.

The council also expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and U.S. President Donald Trump for their attention to Sudanese affairs and their desire to achieve peace that preserves Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.

The council tasked the relevant authorities with responding to the paper submitted by U.S. Presidential Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, while emphasizing adherence to the vision previously presented by the Sudanese government to the United Nations and other concerned parties.

The council stressed the government’s commitment to facilitating the access of humanitarian aid, opening roads, protecting humanitarian workers, and ensuring aid reaches those in need. It also confirmed the continued opening of border crossings and airports, emphasizing that maintaining the country’s security, stability, and sovereignty remains a top priority.
