Sudan’s RSF-Linked Janjaweed Group Opens Executive Office in Tel Aviv, Signalling Political Engagement with Israeli-Based Sudanese

The Janjaweed (Tasis) government, led by Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemeidti,” has disclosed new details regarding Sudanese–Israeli relations amid the ongoing conflict since April 2023. Hemeidti, who previously expressed Sudan’s intent in October 2020 to build ties with all nations—including Israel—has now announced the establishment of a Tasis executive office in Tel Aviv.

The coalition clarified that the office is an initiative of Sudanese residents in Israel and does not hold official recognition within Sudan or the broader diaspora. It reflects the group’s commitment to the national project of revolutionary forces, guided by the Nairobi Declaration Charter, aiming to establish a secular, liberal constitution.

The office’s stated mission is to continue the political struggle for a new Sudan by ending prior political and security domination, curbing the influence of the Islamic Movement and its armed militias, and advancing a democratic state that respects diversity and equality for all Sudanese citizens.

Key members include Haroun Adam Bashir as President, Dodo Santo as Vice President, Mubarak Isaac Adam as Secretary-General, and several other officials overseeing political affairs, foreign relations, and media. The team notably features Sudanese activists from Darfur, the Nuba Mountains, and Blue Nile, some of whom participated in the 2018–2019 revolution.
