A camp affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has been identified inside Ethiopian territory in the Benishangul-Gumuz region, approximately 33 kilometers from the city of Al-Kurmuk in Blue Nile State, which the militia recently seized, according to analyst Rich Tied.
Tied reported that the camp was established in October 2025 and completed within about one month. Satellite imagery indicates that it contains around 650 tents, in addition to a warehouse, several buildings, and storage containers.
He also referred to earlier reports describing a training facility capable of accommodating thousands of fighters from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) and the RSF, with estimates suggesting that thousands of personnel have been hosted at the site in recent months.
