North Kordofan Wali Abdel-Khalig Abdel-Latif Wadatallah arrived in El-Obeid from Khartoum via the National Export Road, affirming that the road is now secure and has resumed operations as a vital artery linking Omdurman with North Kordofan State.

Speaking during a stop in Bara, the Wali said the road had been secured by the Sudanese Armed Forces and forces participating in securing the axis, commending efforts to clear the route and restore freedom of movement.

Commander of the Export Road Control, Maj. Gen. Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Al-Belawi, said security had been fully established along the route from Omdurman through Bara to El-Obeid, noting that the Wali’s passage with his delegation reflected the level of security achieved.

The Executive Director of Bara Locality affirmed the stability of the security situation, saying the road between Bara and El-Obeid is now secure. The resumption of movement is expected to boost transportation and trade and support economic and service stability in the state.
