The Dar Hamar Emergency Chamber reported that the city of Al-Khuwai and its 90 surrounding villages are facing a major humanitarian crisis, with the entire population displaced and the city turned into a scene of systematic crime and pillaging affecting homes and mosques.
The organization stated that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia imposed forced prices on crops, looted livestock, targeted the elderly with violence and arrests, and took control of transport and water resources. Dar Hamar warned that these acts constitute a deliberate attempt at economic extermination and erasure of the city’s cultural heritage, cautioning that the humanitarian crisis will worsen without urgent intervention.
