The Wali of Nile River State, Dr. Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdel-Majid, welcomed Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) Governor Amna Mirghani during a meeting attended by senior state officials on Sunday. Dr. Al-Badawi briefed the Governor on the state’s financial and investment performance, highlighting achievements during the Battle of Dignity and recent investment inflows, while urging the banking sector to support initiatives that leverage the state’s economic potential.
CBOS Governor emphasized the need for close coordination between the banking sector and the state to drive economic milestones, acknowledging the state’s supporting for the national currency replacement project and its efforts in assisting citizens affected by the war waged by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF). She affirmed CBOS’s commitment to addressing all banking and financial matters in collaboration with the state.
The Acting State Minister of Investment, Industry and Mining Osman Abdelrahim Amara stressed the banking sector’s vital role in production, economic growth, and development, while Director-General of State Revenues Amir Hamza Ahmed highlighted two years of development and ongoing banking finance challenges.
