Sudanese journalist Abdel-Rahman Al-Tayib has won the Kurt Schork Award for International Journalism in recognition of his outstanding coverage of the war in Sudan, delivering events to the world with high credibility.
Al-Tayib is known as a model of courageous young journalists who provide independent and meticulous reporting, combining professionalism with humanity.
The Kurt Schork Award is one of the most prestigious international journalism honours. Established by the Kurt Schork Memorial Fund (KSMF) more than two decades ago, it celebrates journalism carried out under complex circumstances and high-risk conditions. Its categories include local reporters, independent journalists, and supporting journalists.
