The Khartoum State Committee for Maintaining Security and Upholding State Authority revealed that 4,792 criminal cases have been registered and 2,820 suspects arrested, with legal procedures taken against them. The committee also announced the deportation of 178 foreigners to their countries as part of ongoing security campaigns aimed at enhancing stability and reinforcing state authority.
The measures come amid increasing complaints from citizens over deteriorating community security, rising theft, drug use, and other negative social phenomena in several neighbourhoods across Khartoum State.
According to a statement issued by the security committee, Interior Minister Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa chaired the 11th meeting of the Committee for Maintaining Security and Upholding State Authority, attended by representatives of regular forces and military formations. The meeting reviewed performance reports from specialised committees and affirmed the continuation of security plans aimed at strengthening security and stability across the state.
