Khartoum (Nabaa Sudan) — Minister Plenipotentiary Faisal Al-Suwaidan, representative of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, has reaffirmed the continued political, economic and social support of Arab countries for Sudan, stressing that such support contributes to achieving security and stability while underscoring respect for Sudan’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
Addressing the Arab Forum for Strengthening Human Resource Capacities in Khartoum, Al-Suwaidan said the League’s Economic and Social Council had adopted a resolution on following up the implementation of Resolution No. 25/31 concerning the development of Sudanese human resources. The resolution also calls for intensified cooperation with the Sudanese government to meet development, recovery and reconstruction needs.
He noted that the changes sweeping the Arab region, together with technological advances—including the use of artificial intelligence and the emergence of new professions—make it necessary to improve educational outcomes, strengthen training and build capacities to keep pace with labour market requirements.
Al-Suwaidan commended the cooperation between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Arab Administrative Development Organization in organising the forum. He stressed that investing in people is a cornerstone of recovery, reconstruction and sustainable development.
