Blue Nile (Nabaa Sudan) — The Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) announced that it is continuing its humanitarian intervention in Blue Nile Region by providing medical clinic services to displaced people in Al-Azazi area, near Roseires, in response to growing healthcare needs among displaced families and their limited access to essential medical services.
The services include general medical consultations, treatment of common illnesses, maternal and child healthcare, the provision of essential medicines, and referrals of cases requiring specialised care to health facilities.
SAPA’s country director in Sudan, Dr. Faisal Ahmed Al-Nour, said the association’s return to operations in Blue Nile reflects its commitment to supporting communities affected by the crisis and ensuring that displaced people have access to dignified healthcare close to where they are staying.
The intervention is being implemented in coordination with the Blue Nile Region Ministry of Health and local authorities. The association stated that it had provided medical services to 13,600 beneficiaries over the past two weeks.
