Attorney General Intisar Ahmed Abdel-Al today met with the Arab Lawyers’ Union (ALU) fact-finding team investigating violations by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. The meeting was attended by the Attorney General’s First Assistant and several members of the National Committee.
The delegation head, Mohamed Khalid Murad, outlined the committee’s mission and objectives, focusing on gathering evidence of violations against civilians and civilian infrastructure, including war crimes and crimes against humanity.
He commended the cooperation provided by Sudanese authorities, while the Attorney General reaffirmed the Public Prosecution’s full support in pursuing accountability for the perpetrators, noting that many of these crimes cross borders and involve international backing.
