Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir affirmed that the government led by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, represents the Sudanese people, stressing the importance of preserving national identity and strengthening social cohesion amid the repercussions of the war.
Al-Eisir announced a partnership with the National Fund for Student Welfare to organize and broadcast the closing ceremony of the Student Dignity Festival, while calling on students to promote coexistence and solidarity. The Fund said it is rebuilding student residences and fostering a supportive educational environment under the slogan “Rebuilding Hearts and Minds to Rebuild Sudan.”
The festival covered cultural, educational, sports, theatrical, and disability-related activities across several states, with a national closing ceremony being prepared to promote unity, recovery, resilience, and dignity.
Officials also highlighted ongoing reconstruction of student residences in Khartoum State. Work began in November 2025, with the first phase accommodating about 9,533 students and the second covering seven residences and providing about 5,000 places. Reconstruction of University of Khartoum residences aims to accommodate about 9,400 students, with around 70% of the work expected to be completed by mid-October.
