The Director of “Education Cannot Wait,” Maysa Jalbout, said the fund had decided to allocate $22 million to support education in Sudan, with the aim of enabling 200,000 children to access education.
According to the United Nations website, Jalbout said she had observed damage to schools during her visit to Sudan as a result of the armed conflict. She noted that “Education Cannot Wait” is working with “Save the Children” to help 200,000 children return to school.
