Cairo (Nabaa Sudan – The Sudanese government has called on the Secretary-General of the Arab League to launch an investigation into drone attacks originating from Ethiopia and targeting Sudanese territory. The call was made during a meeting in Cairo between Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem and the Arab League Secretary-General, Nabil Fahmy.
The meeting discussed developments in Sudan and followed up on the outcomes of the Secretary-General’s recent visit to Khartoum. The Sudanese side called for the formation of an independent international investigation committee under the joint supervision of the Arab League, the United Nations and the African Union to verify the circumstances surrounding the attacks, based on evidence available to the competent authorities.
