Egypt’s Central Bank Reports Rise in Foreign Exchange Reserves to $55.07 Billion at End of June

The Central Bank of Egypt announced that the country’s net foreign exchange reserves rose to $55.07 billion at the end of June, compared with $53.13 billion in May, marking an increase of approximately $1.9 billion.

The rise comes amid continued growth in remittances from Egyptians working abroad, alongside expectations that Cairo will receive €1.5 billion from the European Union in the coming days as part of a macroeconomic support program.
