The Ministry of Finance and the African Development Bank (AfDB) discussed financial arrangements for the launch of several development projects, with the bank allocating around $100 million to the health, water, education, and agriculture sectors.
In a press statement, the ministry said the meeting discussed the resumption of international financial support for Sudan and follow-up on grants and reconstruction projects, as well as reforms to public financial management mechanisms.
It said the financing includes 19 million units of account for health, 19 million for water, 6 million for education, and 29 million for other sectors, while the remaining funds will be directed toward supporting the agricultural sector.
