Minerals Minister Nour Al-Daim Mohamed Ahmed Taha has concluded his visit to China, during which he participated in the International Mining Conference and Exhibition in Tianjin and held meetings with Chinese officials, institutions, and companies to discuss cooperation and investment in the minerals sector.

The minister said the participation in the conference provided Sudan with an opportunity to showcase its mineral resources, potential, and available investment opportunities. He stressed the importance of expanding engagement with countries and organizations operating in the mining sector and opening new avenues for cooperation and investment.

He noted that the memorandum of understanding signed with the Chinese side represents an important step toward cooperation in geological surveying, mineral exploration, the exchange of expertise and technology. He affirmed Sudan’s keenness to attract Chinese companies and establish partnerships covering exploration, production, processing, and manufacturing, thereby increasing the added value of mineral resources and maximizing their contribution to the national economy.
