Qatar Airways resumed flights to Sudan on Thursday after a prolonged suspension, with its inaugural flight departing Hamad International Airport for Port Sudan International Airport at 9:00 a.m. local time.
The inaugural flight was accompanied by Sudan's Ambassador to Qatar, Badr-Eddin Abdullah, and Qatar's Ambassador to Sudan, Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sada.
The flight was seen off at Hamad International Airport by Sheikh Jassim bin Fahad Al Thani, Head of the Aviation Policy and Regulatory Affairs Department, and Nizar Abbas Al-Agib of the Sudanese Embassy in Qatar.
