State Minister at the Ministry of Finance, Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daem, announced the completion of the national electronic procurement system, marking a shift from manual procedures to a fully digital platform.
He said the system includes a dedicated portal for government tenders and bids and will be launched as an integrated platform covering the full procurement cycle. The move is expected to boost efficiency, strengthen transparency, and connect government entities with suppliers, as well as financial and national reporting systems.
The State Minister added that the system will significantly reduce paper-based procedures, saving time and effort in public procurement and contracting.
He noted that the initiative forms part of the government’s public financial reform programme, commending Ministry of Finance IT engineers for their role in delivering the project.
