Sudan’s Minister of Energy, Engineer Al-Mua’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed, held talks with representatives of Big way Group on expanding investment in Sudan’s oil sector, with discussions focusing on upstream and downstream opportunities.
The meeting reviewed priority areas for cooperation, including oil exploration, field services, refinery operations, petroleum imports, and project financing mechanisms.
The minister stressed that Sudan’s petroleum sector offers high-value openings for investors, pointing to producing fields that require further development as well as new exploration blocks available for investment. He also highlighted prospects in refinery modernization and the expansion of petroleum product pipeline networks.
He reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations with Turkey, noting ongoing joint cooperation in the electricity sector. He added that the Ministry of Energy is intensifying measures to secure stable electricity and fuel supplies in response to rising demand, particularly as voluntary returns to Khartoum and other states continue to increase consumption pressures.

The company’s Sudan Executive Director, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Rouqi, confirmed readiness to move promptly on viable opportunities and to evaluate submitted investment proposals.
