Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Al-Mua’tassim Ibrahim, announced the country’s plans to expand renewable energy, particularly solar and wind power, through new legislation and input tax exemptions.
During a meeting with electricity companies, the Minister highlighted that agricultural projects have begun relying on solar power stations.
The Ministry of Energy also discussed importing new transformers, increasing electricity production, and coordinating with the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Sudan to support the implementation of these projects.
