Al-Gezira Wali Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair praised the interventions of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the state during his meeting with UNDP Resident Representative in Sudan Luka Renda.

The Wali outlined his government’s efforts to normalize life and restore basic services, particularly the use of solar energy for water supply sources, the full restoration of the health system, water-harvesting projects, and support for value addition in agricultural products and small industries.

For his part, the UNDP representative announced the programme’s readiness to support the state’s plans and projects, stressing the importance of security and stability. He explained that the visit aims to assess needs and review projects already implemented.
