The Commissioner of Al-Kormuk Locality in Blue Nile Region, Abdal-Aatty Mohamed, reported that approximately 900 families have been displaced from the area to Al-Damazin, the Region capital, in addition to 1,900 people displaced internally within Al-Kormuk due to recent security incidents.
The Commissioner explained that the families who arrived in Al-Damazin will be accommodated at “Al-Karama” camp, where urgent humanitarian assistance will be provided to meet their basic needs.
