The International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced that the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Kordofan region has exceeded 87,000 over the past four months.
The agency attributed the surge in displacement to escalating attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, noting that the latest waves of displacement have significantly increased humanitarian needs across the region.
