Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris met on Monday, in Khartoum with Humanitarian Aid Commissioner-General Salwa Adam Benya.
The meeting discussed the efforts of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) in managing the displacement file and assessing the numbers of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and their needs.
The meeting stressed the need to dispatch aid and support convoys to citizens in accordance with the needs map, with a focus on areas recently liberated from the blight of the terrorist rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
The meeting also addressed the Commission’s efforts to move from the emergency phase to the recovery phase and transform IDPs from recipients of assistance into productive members of society through productive projects.
