The Sudan Doctors Network said that more than 200 civilians, including women and children, were killed on an ethnic basis in attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on the areas of Ambro, Serba, and Abu Gamra in North Darfur State.
According to testimonies from survivors who reached displacement camps in Al-Tina, eastern Chad, the victims were deliberately targeted and killed, in what the network described as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law.
The network said the attacks triggered large waves of displacement toward Chad, where displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees are living in extremely dire humanitarian conditions, marked by acute shortages of food and safe drinking water, the collapse of health services, and the absence of adequate shelter. It warned that these conditions threaten the lives of thousands, particularly children, women, and the elderly.
The Sudan Doctors Network cautioned that the continuation of such violations could lead to the largest wave of displacement these areas have witnessed, stressing that international silence and the failure to take deterrent action amount to indirect complicity in these humanitarian tragedies.
