Adviser of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) for Humanitarian Affairs and Organizations, Lieutenant General Al-Sadiq Ismail Mahmoud, discussed ways to enhance international support for Sudan and intensify humanitarian efforts to address the consequences of the war during his participation in the K 2026 Conference in the Italian city of Genoa.
In his address to the conference, attended by Italian and European officials, the adviser underscored the importance of increasing humanitarian assistance and keeping the Sudanese crisis among the priorities of the international community, pointing to the significant challenges facing displaced persons (IDPs).
On the sidelines of the conference, Lieutenant General Al-Sadiq held talks with Italian officials on developments in the humanitarian situation and Sudan’s urgent needs. The Italian side announced the allocation of €150 million to support Sudan’s health sector and rehabilitate hospitals and medical facilities across the country.
