United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced that 15 children were killed and others injured in a drone airstrike that targeted a camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Al-Sanout area of West Kordofan on the 16th of this month.
The organization’s Executive Director, Catherine Russell, stated that developments in Kordofan reflect alarming patterns similar to those witnessed in Darfur, where children are being killed, injured, displaced, and deprived of the essential services necessary for their survival, according to UNICEF media reports.
