The World Food Programme (WFP) in Sudan said it has begun distributing humanitarian assistance to displaced families inside El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State.
In a statement posted on Facebook on Tuesday, the WFP said fuel shortages slowed down delivery operations, noting that its fleets continued their mission to ensure that aid reaches the families who depend entirely on this assistance on time.
The opening of the export road by the Sudanese Armed Forces contributed to facilitating the delivery of aid to the capital of North Kordofan.
