Baku, (Nabaa Sudan) – The “Baku Security Forum” concluded in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, with the participation of delegations and heads of intelligence and security agencies from around 90 countries and international organizations. Sudan’s delegation was headed by Director General of the General Intelligence Service, General Ahmed Ibrahim Muffadal.

On the sidelines of the forum, Mufaddal held meetings with the leadership of Azerbaijan’s State Security Service to discuss military and security developments in Sudan. The meetings resulted in joint security understandings as a prelude to bilateral cooperation between the two agencies.

In his address, Mufaddal called for enhanced information exchange and intelligence coordination, as well as efforts to combat organized crime, terrorism, and arms flows. He also called for establishing international legal frameworks to address the threats posed by drones and cut off sources of terrorist financing.

The forum’s final statement stressed the importance of translating the recommendations into practical mechanisms to safeguard the security and stability of states and peoples.
