Nabaa Sudan – A Flydubai flight traveling from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv was diverted toward Saudi Arabia, while contact with the aircraft was subsequently lost.
Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the aircraft, traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, was believed to have been hijacked, prompting Israeli fighter jets to take off to deal with the situation.
Israel’s Channel 12, citing a security source, said the aircraft was expected to land in Saudi Arabia within minutes after transmitting the emergency hijacking code.
FlightRadar said the Flydubai aircraft, carrying 180 Israelis, landed at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia after diverting from its original route from Dubai to Israel.
