Field Sources: RSF Suffers Heavy Losses in Blue Nile Battles, Injured Fighters Taken to Ethiopian Hospitals

Field sources reported that clashes in the Blue Nile front resulted in heavy losses among the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, with a large number of wounded fighters being admitted to hospitals inside Ethiopian territory.

According to the sources, RSF forces and Joseph Tuka’s forces suffered more than 2,000 fatalities in Al-Kormuk from the time they entered the town until control was retaken, while the number of wounded was estimated at more than 1,000, in addition to the loss of dozens of combat vehicles and armored units during the fighting.

The sources added that foreign fighters, including Ethiopians and South Sudanese, were among those killed and wounded, noting that the families of some of them are still searching for information about their fate, based on reports received from field sources.
