The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on Sunday targeted several civilian sites in Kosti, White Nile State, including a fuel station, killing one civilian and injuring 14 others.
Following the attack, the State Security Committee, led by White Nile State Wali Lt. Gen. Gamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mawla, visited the targeted site to assess the extent of the human and material damage and inspected the wounded at Kosti Hospital and the City Clinic.
The Wali condemned the attack, describing the targeting of civilians and vital facilities as a recurring practice by the RSF and stressing that such attacks would only strengthen the resolve of the Sudanese people and the Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, the State Minister of Health and Social Development said the preliminary toll stood at one dead and 14 injured, adding that the wounded received emergency medical treatment before being transferred to hospitals for further care.
