The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced that the 4th Infantry Division — Blue Nile Lions — backed by supporting forces, had recaptured the Karan and Dokan areas in the Blue Nile Region following fierce battles with the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
The armed forces said the operation inflicted heavy losses on the militia in both personnel and equipment, as part of ongoing efforts to secure the region, reinforce stability, and clear areas affected by the rebellion.
