President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said arrangements are underway to launch a comprehensive political dialogue through which Sudanese parties will agree on the foundations of national reconstruction and governing principles capable of unifying Sudan, ending its recurring crises, and completing the democratic civilian transition.
Addressing the Sudanese people on Tuesday evening on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, TSC President Al-Burhan affirmed that the Sudanese government would provide all necessary support to ensure the success of the dialogue, which he said would be held inside Sudan and attended by those “directly concerned.”
He stressed that the Sudanese people would not accept the outcomes of conferences and dialogues held in foreign capitals “where positions are bought and sold,” nor would they accept imposed solutions or dictates carrying ideological or doctrinal agendas or tied to the interests of foreign states.
TSC President Al-Burhan added that the government would invite national forces excluding those “whose hands are stained with the blood of the Sudanese people,” pledging to provide everything necessary to ensure the success of the dialogue and the implementation of its outcomes.
