President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that the battle is not yet over, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to continuing the fight until the rebellion is eliminated throughout the country.
Al-Burhan made the remarks in a speech following Friday prayers at the historic mosque in the city of Al-Managil, Al-Gezira State. He described Sudan’s current struggle as a confrontation with enemies seeking to “bring the country to its knees,” stressing that the Armed Forces and the Sudanese people are engaged in a decisive battle to protect the nation’s sovereignty.
The TSC President did not rule out the possibility of international sanctions being imposed on Sudan in the coming days, while at the same time affirming that there would be no retreat from resolving the confrontation on the battlefield.
